MicroSD Express Card 512GB Available from SanDisk

I've been searching for an Express card larger than 256GB since the Switch 2 launched, but haven't even been able to find one in stock, until today.

waiting for a 1TB. All out of stock. I’m currently using a 256 for now, until we have enough 1TBs..

That’s a pretty good price for it. It should hold most people for a while at least. Like another poster said i am holding out for a 1TB card. No rush.

Where is the 512? Link only shows 128 and 256

$45 in shipping to my place 💀. Anyone know any other sites to buy it? The 512gb

  5. Glad I grabbed the Walmart branded one for 1/2 of the sandisk

I’m pretty sure memory cards will be more widely available before the end of the year. Better to just wait this out until the Onn walmart brands get more stock.

I saw Walmart had some ONN 512gb express cards for like $35. Anything wrong with those?

The pricing on these things is highway robbery, compared to NVMe SSDs.

I got the Walmart brand 512GB for $65 a bit after launch. Not sure how available those are but the price is right.

Black Friday can’t come soon enough

Thanks! Ended up getting one. I was even considering getting the Onn 512GB due to not finding alternatives.

Maybe if it was similar price to the ONN one. $120 is how much the 1TB should be.

  13. Must only be certain regions. If I click on the link it sends me to the 128 with the option for 256. 512 doesn’t even exist as an out of stock option on any site for me other than Walmart.

  14. I got one of the Walmart 512 ones and immediately ran into multiple issues: Eshop freezing (fix: force shutdown, remove card, reboot, reinstall card.), and game downloads stalling (fix: go to user profile/user settings/update download progress, you will likely have to do this multiple times).

how long will it take for these to start to get cheap?

The scarcity of these things is as bad as the Seagate expansion cards for Xbox back in 2020/21

  17. Omg that’s almost 2x the price of the Walmart one.

  18. Just give it time. I have a 1 TB card on my OLED and I paid 94 bucks for it. Prices drop down considerably after a year

Steep price tag! Understandably so, though. I bought a 256GB on sale about a month prior to the Switch 2 launch. I don’t have a whole lot of space to spare but I can get by for the time being. I’ll wait for a bigger sale on this card or when I run out.

A lot of people here mentioning Onn branded ones. I did some digging and apparently Onn is a rebrand for PNY, and you dont have to look hard to find people with reliability issues

Interesting that Sandisk is charing a premium on their site for this. While this same 512gb is not currently in stock at Walmart and Target there are product pages for it and it’s listed at $78 (Walmart) and $99 (Target)

  22. Dumb question potentially but, will we really need 512gb for switch 2 games?

  23. dudSpudson

I bought 256gb and I’m quickly realizing that is not nearly enough storage.

Just got yakuza 0 and since it’s a key card I still needed to download 45GB

  24. Website redirects you to 128 from hyperlinks. In the address bar, modify the 128 to 512 to get it to show up for some reason. Dunno why it’s like that
