I loved Sky Shark on the NES, the gameplay was simple, but I liked the simplicity of it, and the soundtrack was awesome. I recently played Sky Force on iPhone and PS4/5, and I loved it too. The game's progression and upgrading your ship make for a lot of replayability.
Most of the Schmups recommended here are very intense. Crimzon Clover looks awesome and I just downloaded it, but I'm more looking for something similar to Sky Shark and Sky Force. It doesn't have to be a WW2 plane type shooter, but something that's simpler and not as hectic.
And maybe Sky Shark and Sky Force shouldn't be described as shmups? So if anyone knows another description or genre name I can search using that.
