Guilty Gear -Strive- Nintendo Switch Edition update planned for Fall 2025

We sincerely apologize for the long wait regarding the update for Guilty Gear -Strive- Nintendo Switch Edition.

Venom and Unika, along with Lucy, are planned for an update in the Fall of 2025.
Development for the Nintendo Switch Edition involves porting the character after completion, followed by sequential optimization and processing load reduction.

The Fall 2025 update is expected to bring it up to speed with the latest version, including not only playable character additions but also Digital Figures, balance adjustments, and Ranked Matches. Additionally, we are addressing issues where text is difficult to read in some language settings. Please look forward to the update.

Cool. The game is pretty dead on Switch so I mostly expected this not to happen at this point. It’s a shame not many people are playing online because the game kicks a ton of ass, and it’s really good on Switch/2.

So is the NS version getting the rest of the cast as a free update?

Honestly just do a switch 2 version so it can be crossplay with the other versions. Include an upgrade path as well for switch 1 owners.

  4. I’m grateful for Producer Miyauchi coming out on this after all the silence.

Looking forward to the big Fall update!

Just do a Switch 2 version at this point. Would rather they not have wasted the resources on the original console in the first place because now they have to focus on bringing it up to speed even though it’s got no crossplay which makes it inherently worth less than the other versions.

That and I’m almost certain that development on the Marvel Fighter they’re doing has been eating away at their manpower. Wish they released it later instead of giving Switch owners an inferior product with missing content.

  6. arcsys clearly had a switch 2 dev kit early so im wondering why they even bothered with a switch 1 port just a few months before the switch 2 launched? imagine sf6 and ggstrive as switch 2 launch titles like damn
