So they are reduced to comparing themselves to 5-8 year old systems? Xbox Series X/S sold 1.5 million units in its first 24 hours and, in the US, Sony sold 1.4 million PS5s in the first 24 hours.

Not surprising. PS5 and XSX are 5 year old 9th gen consoles. NS2 is the first new 10th gen console. I’d expect the new next gen console to sell more currently. Console says are its strongest when something new launches and slowly tapers off as the years go on.
