I mostly rely on TCGPlayer for researching the checklists. As a tip, a lot of the easy to miss cards can be found if you filter on these sets:

Also be sure to look at the promo sets and other side sets like prize packs, trainer kits, world championship decks, etc.

Are each of these Pokemon getting their own binders? Or do you combine several into one?
I'm currently working on building an alolan raichu masterset but I'm struggling with organising cards by their release date and finding which ones have holos/reverse and which ones don't. I'd love to hear your advice on how to master that if you have any!

I wonder what youre going to do for alternative forms, like alolan rattata etc… we've already seen mega's included with the pokemon itself (instead of a separate mega dex f.e.), will alolan be its own dex?

You could add what was the most expensive card (and what % of the set it represents) and the cheapest!
