I needed a cheaper and small S2 case and took a quick look at Temu before buying something more expensive. I saw this Mario themed case and gave it a try for $15. Here is my review of the best case I’ve ever owned.
Build quality: 6/10. Mostly it’s well made but the details aren’t perfect. The inside Velcro strap used to secure the system is a bit too short. The overalls on the outside are also a little crooked. But the zippers and snaps are fine.
Protection: 6/10. The shell is a decent quality firm foam like you’d expect for this type of case. There isn’t much other padding but it’s fine for a backpack.
Price: 10/10. Can’t beat that.
Aesthetic: 10/10. Who hasn’t wanted to keep their device in Mario’s overalls?
Overall: 11/10. It’s not the best or most secure case you’d expect but for the price I think it’s pretty great. Will it fall apart? Probably. Would I trust my S2 in a high impact situation? Nope. Would i recommend it as a fashion statement? Absolutely. And what purpose is a case really other than as a fashion statement?
