I’m playing Pokemon Masters, a mobile gacha game set on the island of Pasio. Collect many Pokemon waifus and husbandos and participate in unique battles involving sync pairs.

For those observant, you may have noticed some of my Pokemon being leveled 180. Indeed, they have increased the level cap from 150 to 200. This is the biggest jump that we have seen since release (I think the last biggest jump was 100 to 120 but I could be wrong). They released this level cap along since the new endgame content Battle Tower. I’ll make a video on Battle Tower soon (I recorded one but I don’t like it) and by the time you see this video, maybe that video is available.
New level cap literally changes everything, because Champion Stadium (CS) in my opinion is a joke now. CS could have already been done very easily with level 150 characters, as long as the characters are good and the battle script makes sense. Battle Rally has gotten a ton easier, Damage Challenge has gotten was easier, and High Score content has gotten more competitive. Legendary Arena has also gotten easier, which means Legendary Gauntlet has completely changed and we might see unbelievable clears (500?). Challenge the Strong has also gotten easier, which means the missions are easier to do too.
All in all, the game is easier, which makes me happy but also worries me. On the bright side, if the game is easier, the developers and ease up on the power creep. New sync pairs are just too strong in my opinion, so hopefully they tone it down so that old sync pairs are not completely irrelevant (I’m looking at you Maxie). On the dark side, by making the game easier, they have more reason to add more difficult content to the game, which may alienate free-to-play and low-spender players. I hope that the game doesn’t get to the point where you need certain characters at certain investment to clear content. I’m okay with Genshin Impact difficulty, but not NieR Reincarnation difficulty. One of these games still makes tons of money, while the other is dead (Yes, I know that there are tons of factors that go into a game thriving. I just think that difficulty is a big one).
I don’t have tons of Certificate of Excellence, so I will only upgrade sync pairs that I feel need it. I will also upgrade characters mainly for Battle Tower, because the better I do in Battle Tower, the more Certificate of Excellence I will get back.
Song I’ve been jamming to recently:
Thanks for watching!
