“Ash should’ve won the Kalos League”

  1. The crazy thing is that Greninja when it wasnt mastered was pushing MEGA GARDEVOIR against DIANTHA AND WAS ABOUT TO WIN.. like what

  2. i think that ash should have won this league while loosing the alola league, that would be alot better and it didnt make any nense that he lost to alain,

  3. Whoever directed this clearly wanted the series to continue because this was one of the craziest upsets in anime history

  4. Pokemon is peak fictions🎉 I loved it but then Ash won and everything ended I don't watch it anymore even if I do I watch till Galar and don't dare watch the Horizons Series

  5. That fucking Charizard tanked a THUNDERBOLT and GRENINJA'S BIG ASS SHURIKEN, and you're telling me, it lost to Leon's BASE CHARIZARD like some jobber?! What a joke, and Pikachu beat the shit outta him, are you kidding me? I will never let this die out, it doesn't make any sense, mind you Alain's was already Mega evolved and fresh as a daisy by battler standards and he still got punted by BASE FORM CHARIZARD. God I'm still pissed off just remembering this.

  6. Charizard has sparred with the likes of mega rayquaza, primal groudon, and zygarde 50% just to name a few. Greninja was never taking this one.

  7. I don’t understand why people think ash should’ve won but I assume they’re forgetting Alain had charizard before ash even caught freakin meaning Alain’s charizard clearly was way more experienced in battle and mind you greninja in the series had only even was able to use the big shuriken on his back form somewhat recently due to how time works in pokemon plus charizard made full use of the terrain which was sunny meaning water type moves were weakened and fire type moves were strengthened meaning no matter how powerful the watershuriken was it was still massively debuffed as ash didn’t think about weather problems

  8. I just want to say I believe ash should’ve won because Charizard literally can’t learn thunder punch at all in gen six

  9. None. Just from the story-building point of view, if Greninja wins in the final battle feels more genuine and pure, without any gimmicks or plot armor. It just makes more sense and is more satisfying compared to the Journey end battle with Leon, where it's all plot armor, with one Pokémon using Dynamax against Mega Evolution, Z-Moves, and Dynamax. It’s heavy on plot convenience.

Then, of course, they tried to resolve it in Sun and Moon, but there, the rival only had three Pokémon. We got a good 3v3 battle, but it wasn't enough. Ultimately, the series gave us a proper showdown with Ash vs. Kukui in a 6v6.

However, people didn’t like the art style and animation in Sun and Moon.

Journey’s story, on the other hand, is all over the place, with too many things shoved into one, which makes the ending feel weak.

  10. That battle was 100% ashes, along with all the reasons everyone is saying already one I haven't seen mentioned is that charizard had already been in 2 battles before greninja, one of them being against pikachu, greninja was fresh to the battle. There is no real reason ash lost in kalos

  11. Idk man Alain's Charizard fought many mega pokemon including mega legendaries so Greninja losing here doesn't really surprise me. It's unfortunate that Ash lost here but Alain's Charizard was just built different

  12. Ok let's talk game perspective, ash Greninja with the ability battle bond gives it a good stat bonus making it stronger, yes charizard is a fire dragon mega x, fire weak to water, mega septile worse than regular septile so idk, the septile is just a hyper, Alan's charizard just got thunder punch, electric to water.

  13. Plus, Ash used STRATEGY.
Charizard's whole gimmick was "I hit harder"
I know there's a huge difference between deserving to win vs actually winning, but since this is a built up story, Ash absolutely should have won this.

  14. You're missing the point. The entire XY series felt like it was building up to this. Ash was finally allowed to act more mature/grow, there was the whole chosen one-style Ash-Greninja thing, etc. The narrative absolutely felt like he was meant to win and have a perfect ending to Ash's story, and then he just didn't. This made it especially unsatisfying when he won Sun & Moon's tiny tournament the very next season. Felt like they postponed a big, actually satisfying, well built-up win for no reason, just to have him win a much weaker league/story next time. And of all the series, Sun & Moon could have worked the most easily without a tournament.

  15. Alans mega charizard was an experiment that mega evolution was made to stop mewtwo and his mega form

  16. Ash should really focus on stat boosting baton pass sets he’d lowkey beat everyone no one else in the anime uses them I think I seen max have his poliwhirl use belly drum or some but that’s really all I can recall

  17. Greninja had a unique ability, it was unfair In a sense, and it was Alain moments.
If they made ash win kanto league then johtho ok, but it wasn't this kind of show, it was his best result so far so a good bilan, and Alain loss, nah it would be weird.

  18. And fun fact at the end of xy we see
Alain and Charizard with out the mega stone and he said it wasn’t his

  19. Disagree, how do you hype up this guy so much, give him a nearly perfect standard shounen plot and then rip out the rug under him like this

It’s just disrespectful that greninja was taken out by a fire type move when that STAB humongous gold water shuriken did nothing like that fire dragon doesn’t resist water

  20. The reason why Ash greninja won Septile because (Speed Advantage,Two Super Effective Hits with Aerial Ace Cut through Frenzy Plant using Cut like weeds on grass and won with a released Giant Water Shuriken that overpowered Leaf storm.

  21. The only complaint I have from ash's pokemons is that like bro why would you leave greninja I mean I know he left him to protect kalos but bro… I'm not that good I will definitely want to keep my pokemon

  22. Lets be honest here, Ash Greninja couldve learned moves that are super effective against dragon types, and his lack of them are the reasons why Mega Charizard X won.
The moment charizard turned into his X mega was the moment that greninja's type advantage became useless, due to Mcx being a dragon type. And to add salt to the wound, Mcx and Alain had more experience than Ash Greninja, and adding more saltiness, Ash couldve had Greninja learn Night Slash as an upgrade to Cut, or Maybe learn Ice Punch back at the Ice Type Gym, because Ice is effective against dragon types.

But the the main reason Ash Greninja lost, is lack of battle experience and sufficiently honed strength.
