The in-game replays of Fighting Tower were full of Superawakened units, so I wanted to see how far I can go without them. By the time I’ve made this video, though, Adept already published a Floor 30 clear that doesn’t use any superawakened unit (https://youtu.be/olQ7rCyfHWs?si=5moVZENOFIRx40p7), so it’s possible to clear the whole tower without one.

Both of the teams I use here rely heavily on evasion and flinch, both of which are provided by NC Bianca and Rei. Bianca is a staple in Fighting-type teams so her being a good pick in this tower is no surprise, but I had a lot of fun with Rei, as he compressed all of that utility plus damage in one slot. That made him a good partner to Kieran, who added to the damage and helped a lot with his debuffs and WTZ. His possibility of debuffing accuracy in particular made Rei’s evasion buffs more effective.

Since both Rei and Kieran don’t have much use in Floor 28, though, I teamed up Bianca with SS Bede, who as of the time I’m writing this is hard-required to beat Fighting Tower as he is the only consistent AOE special damage of the type. He is also one of the few to beat Floor 30, though he requires 10/5 for it, as you can see in this video by Cami: https://youtu.be/2jp004jOaBw?si=N3MXR2gneYaqVjLq

Both of the duos I talk about above are anchored by SSA Cynthia, who is a fantastic tank for this mode as not only is she very bulky and has good sustain, she also has paralysis in her kit to make her an invaluable pick for the Unaffected parameter stages. She was the only source of long-lasting status and interference for the type until Kieran came along, but with Kieran’s addition it does mean SSA Cynthia isn’t hard-required for this tower anymore.

In fact, the triple Paldea team with Kieran, Juliana, and Eri is what Adept used to clear Floor 30, and I wouldn’t be surprised if those three can clear all the other stages that don’t require special damage. I don’t have Juliana and Eri, though, so I had to find other teammates for the ex-Champion.
