Today, September 18th, is my birthday, and soon, in exactly week from now, 25th, it's my "cake" day.
Given that, I decided to make myself a gift. A Switch 2 tracking chart, to search for Game Cards
However, I cannot do this alone, as there's just too much games already to check.
I'm gonna briefly explain how does it work exactly.
Column 1 has the games (exclusively on Game Cards), 2, 3 and 4 are mutually exclusive categories(exclusive software, S2 edition, update)
Column 5 is for the release dates on Switch 2 (date of release of the update enhancements, Switch 2 Edition or game itself in case of being only available on Switch 2 and NOT on Switch 1).
Column 6 is additional information regarding the game. Notice how there isn't a PRICE column. The reason for that is because the one most understand is US$ which are affected by tariffs.
I only added Mario Kart World to kinda give you an idea of how the chart is meant to work. Nintendo did put info on their websites but it's incomplete as they don't account for a lot of 3rd party titles.
Case-in-point, Romancing Saga 2: Revenge of the Seven, has a Switch 2 edition…technically. It's not on a game card, but the base game is full on Switch 1 and the upgrade pack is sold separately.
Another case is Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero not being accounted as a game with a Switch 2 free update, even though the Switch 1 game fully physical literally updates to the Switch 2 version.
Even Nintendo has weird ways of updating the list. Super Mario Galaxy 1 + Super Mario Galaxy 2 on Switch 1 was upscaled on Switch 2 but it's not included on the free updates list, which is weird.
So overall…I need help…and I think this chart will help more people than just me once it keeps growing over time. If a mod reads this, feel free to "officialize" this. Thank you for your time reading.
