Nintendo has done a lot of games were it touched upon death and much more not so kiddy friendly themes. Nintendo really is a middle ground for everything they do I feel like.

Well Nintendo’s main audience are family oriented so I don’t see anything wrong when someone says Nintendo are for kids.
