Pokemon Masters EX – 15000 pts Champion Stadium – Week 10/27/25

I’m playing Pokemon Masters, a mobile gacha game set on the island of Pasio. Collect many Pokemon waifus and husbandos and participate in unique battles involving sync pairs.

I should probably briefly talk about one of the biggest bugs in Pokemon Masters history. Honestly, the bug wasn’t that big in my opinion, but the bug did warrant the biggest compensation in Pokemon Masters that we’ve ever seen.

Basically, they released a triple Master Fair banner with sync pairs that got upgrades to their 5/4 and 5/5 sync grids. One of these sync pairs was Sygna Suit (SS) Lear and Gholdengo. For one of the 5/5 sync grid tiles, it was bugged and gave 9 Special Moves Up Next effect to all team members when you used Pasio Circle. These types of sync grid tiles are useless in my opinion, because getting 1 Up Next effect for one attack usually is low impact. However, 9 Up Next is admittedly a lot, and it can happen more than once, which made 5/5 SS Leon incredibly strong.

Not only was SS Lear strong, but he is basically the only special steel attacker for Pasio Tower that could help you with the physical resistant floors. So, I guess a lot of people scouted for SS Lear and upgraded him to 5/5 just to more easily complete Steel Tower. Because of this oversight, Poekmon Masters had to rebalance the 5/5 sync grid tile. But because a lot of people scouted specifically for SS Lear and may have used a lot of move candies just to get him to 5/5 for that specific sync gird tile, they needed to compensate us.

They made it so that if you scouted on that banner, you get fully compensated for the gems you spent. Then, everyone gets four 5* Move Candies and 500 Gems. The 500 Gems are negligible, but the other stuff is huge. Basically, if you rolled that banner before the bug fix, you got free characters. Not only could you get SS Lear in that banner, but there was also Aura Cynthia and Neo Champion Hop, who are great characters. The four 5* Move Candies are also huge. I’ve been playing this game for 7 years and have only managed to get ~15 5* Move Candies (and yes, one was from that infamous Gloria event). It takes months just to get one of those things, so to get four is huge for every player.

While I am very sad that I didn’t scout that banner and get SS Lear (I’m stuck at Floor 14 in Pasio Tower because I don’t have a special steel striker), I’ve think I’m pretty content about the candle compensation. Realistically, you would have had to used candies to get SS Leon to 5/5 copies to abuse the bug. So for those players, they are technically up a few candies or broke even on candies. For players that didn’t upgrade SS Lear, we got four extra candies. So at the end of the day, the people who abused the bug (When I say abuse, I don’t mean intentionally or with malicious intent. But that they unknowingly took advantage) got some free master fair characters and some candies, while others are up 4 candies.
