Especially considering the influx of “digital first” libraries for people who are now on a new generation console (like me), AND that Nintendo is putting better eshop deals up lately.
The only drawback I can see is buying older discounted games, where sometimes the digital purchase at target, Walmart etc. may be better than Nintendo eshop.

You could buy the $100 ones for $79.99, then use that to buy the two game vouchers from Nintendo. You’ll basically pay $40 per new Switch game.

Why would I buy this when Sam’s club has 5 20$ cards (120$) for 80$? I just bought 160$ worth and received 240$ in cards. Bought two 50$ vouchers for the Nintendo Eshop and redeemed one for Pikmin 4 (60$) the other I’m saving for Metroid Prime 4 (70$). So thats 130$ worth of games and only spent 60$ when you do the math. Thanks to this subreddit for the technique!

For those who aren’t getting their e-gift cards after 2+ hours. I suggest hitting up Costco chat. They were able to push my order through as it was put on hold for no reason (might be due to fraud detection). Got my gift cards right away after they were able to push it through.

I checked and most of the latest first party Nintendo games were there, so if you prefer physical, you can pre order Metroid Prime 4: Beyond at a discount and use a gift card for the Switch 2 part.

I just bought 2 of these ($400 value total). When I entered all the codes, my eshop balance is only $300. I tried inputting all 8 codes again, but they all say they were redeemed already. What should I do? Is this a Nintendo or Costco problem? Anyone with a similar experience?

They also have $100 in 25×4 for $79.99. Both of these are limit 10 so you could theoretically buy $3000 of credit for $2399.80.

You can use these on Nintendo’s store, meaning that the Switch 2 console itself is 20% off with these cards.
Edit: double check your region before attempting this, there are reports this works in the US but not in Australia or EU.
