honestly, once the Switch 2 update hit ScarVi and how good both Legends games have been
They’ve been good for a while
Henslock
These games are hot garbage
Makototoko
Legends Arceus was great, Scarlet and Violet was rough with its performance issues but it’s decent now, Legends Z-A luster wore off and it sucks

I won’t play these games until they figure out how to make the worlds look better. Scarlet and violet looked terrible.
Like how come Zelda looks amazing on the switch, but modern day Pokemon games look like there’s straight out of the N64 era?
Male_Inkling
They never stopped being good, they just fell behind on the tech aspect and it became cool to shit on them

PLA gave me hope for the series, but then SV and ZA dashed it. Plus the leaks about possible upcoming games and their similarly limited budgets

They have been for a while. The 3DS era was very experimental and it shows. The Switch era started the same way but they have finally found what works and it resulted in some great Pokemon games (both Legends games, Scarlet and Violet if you play on Switch 2, SwSh dlc). Still a few things to iron out to reach the DS peak but they are finally going in a good direction.

If you can get past the graphics, they’re fun little adventures that I enjoyed. Banging music, fun characters, and solid gameplay. Maybe it’s just my personal taste of playing the bottom of the barrel free to play multiplayer Steam games with my friends but graphics aren’t that big of an issue. I can look past them if everything else is fun and that’s the case for all of these games.

no, these just don’t interest me at all. I don’t spend time bashing them but I just don’t buy them

Arven is one of the best characters in the series history.

I’ll be honest, the newer games aren’t bad, but they’re like an 8 out of 10 at best. My biggest gripes are pacing/hand holding and the desperate need for voice acting.

ZA has a few pacing issues but graphics and framerates are not one of them. With very few exceptions (one boss fight in the DLC) there has been 0 frame drop, even at 1440p.
Also, small tangent but S/V has made it much easier to train a ‘mon competitively, and LZA+DLC makes it even easier. With Champions releasing soon it looks like they really care about competitive now.

Ever since switch no. Only switch title id even call good is rescue team DX.

They’re getting better, but still need a bit more time in the oven as well as better understanding of open world games in general
