You can redeem 10 Platinum Points on My Nintendo for a printable Metroid Prime 4 cover art. This is the strangest thing that you are able to redeem a code for. It’s not even a version of the art without the disclaimer or “Switch 2 Version” callout. Am I missing something?

I love Nintendo so much but every once in a while they throw a Japanese flavored curve ball like this which makes you lol
My only guess is it’s for the people who bought the Switch 1 version physically, and then bought the Switch 2 upgrade pack digitally, and want their physical copy to represent what they have on their Switch. But ya, still a weird and random reward lol
Honestly, with GameStop often lacking original covers when buying preowned, not a bad idea to offer this imo!
I hope Nintendo does this with all first party games, and then sells empty red Switch 2 cases. I often like to buy digital but want something to display on my shelf.
Honestly I’d be 100% down with buying Switch 2 Editions if they did something like this, but it’s *removing* all the Switch 2 edition disclaimer crap and giving me a more clean cover. I’ve just been buying the Switch 1 editions physically and the upgrades on the eshop.
Man, I was hoping it was an alt. A series of official, matching, alt covers would go hard.

It’s for physical collection, you can buy [blank cases](https://www.nintendo.com/us/store/products/game-card-cases-5-105674/). I went to a print shop and had the [octo expansion](https://my.nintendo.com/rewards/2343ea30fbb2a4ea?lang=en-US) and the [three houses leaders](https://my.nintendo.com/rewards/340218fcfc6f1c8e?lang=en-US) printed on some glossy paper and put them into some cases and put them on my shelf.
They did this before for Splatoon 2, giving players an alternate box art to print out featuring Octo Expansion.
