Fortnite Chapter 6 – Nintendo Switch 2 vs Xbox Series S Graphics Comparison (4K)

Just watch this review by Digital Foundry and finally atleast one Switch 2 games have Lumen implemented. "Layers of Fear" their developers are Bloober Team. I kinda have hope now that Silent Hill 2 will also have Lumen technology implemented.
I also know that Switch 2 hardware isn't as powerful as PS5 or Xbox Series S/X so I have no idea how they got Lumen technology implemented for Switch 2 hardware. But it must be simplified version of Lumen.
Simplified version being called Irradiance Caching (calculating indirect light less frequently and interpolating) or simpler techniques like spherical harmonics to fake reflections, significantly reducing performance cost while retaining much of the visual quality.
Simplified Nanite: While Nanite already efficiently handles huge geometry, simplified versions focus on optimizing the virtualized geometry pipeline for lower memory/CPU, ensuring massive detail isn't a bottleneck on the console.
Either way the game looks amazing even with fake lumen the lighting. Looks great hopefully we get lumen and nanite in Switch 2 version one day!

First person atmospheric game vs online multiplayer open world game.
I’d imagine for the latter, epic wanted to prioritize smooth performance.
Nanite? I think the devs said it’s using software lumen, but no radiance cache yet (it has just been released and I’m not sure how production-ready it is), and no nanite
When radiance cache gets more stable I imagine it will get added to mobile and Switch 2 versions of Fortnite, but I’m not holding my horse for Nanite, unless Nintendo decides to free up more RAM for games, or have only one CPU core reserved for OS
We’re in the first 6 months of Switch 2. A lot of devs seemingly haven’t had dev kits for long and it’ll take time for them to maximize the hardware to their best ability. All we can do is wait and support the games that go the extra mile squeezing out all the Switch 2 has to offer

Who tf gives a monkey’s fart about lumen and nanite in freaking _Fortnite_ ??? 😂
