Can we get a Switch 2 edition of Overwatch now please?

I wonder how many people are actually going to read this and see how the “””””issue”””” being discussed here was about devkit allocation from the publisher and had nothing to do with Nintendo.

People don’t want to hear there’s a solution. They want to believe there’s a made up problem

As far as I am concerned, Nintendo still hasn’t officially opened up Nintendo Switch 2 development to general developers yet. I believe the third parties currently developing titles for Nintendo Switch 2 were invited directly by Nintendo itself to develop for Nintendo Switch 2, while the majority of developers are still limited to developing for Nintendo Switch only (though at least many Nintendo Switch titles *can* indeed have massively improved performance on Nintendo Switch 2 compared to on Nintendo Switch).

2026 will become the year of the Switch 2 upgrade for Switch 1 games.

I just wish/hope that Nintendo doesn’t give dev kits to the “developers” who just pump out AI slop shovelware on the Switch 1. Keep trash like Call of Combat Modern Duty Ops 7 off the eshop.

  6. You know what the problem actually is? The fact that every Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 can’t be used a dev kit by everyone. Works for computers and laptops and phones. Don’t downvote me Nintendo, you know it’s true 😉

Good, that means we can see more indie games come to the console.

Excellent, so in about 2 or 3 years will start to see decent third party switch 2 games.

Cool now they need to immediately send a kit to Gears for Breakfast so A Hat in Time won’t be broken anymore.

Are they afraid that if the devkit gets into the wrong hands that it will give “hackers” a means to find exploits to mod the switch? Might be why they are taking so long to give out more devkits so they have more time to patch any possible exploit they can find

Cant they just remove the FPS limiter on games? That would fix a lot of games, real quick.
