Why you want me for secret Santa πŸ”₯

Every year my huge family does a massive gift exchange and slowly every year we started getting…lazier πŸ˜…

We used to do a "make-a-gift", "big gift", and "white elephant", but as the family grew and moved all over we've tetered down to just a white elephant gift, and a big gift that's supposed to be roughly $40.

This year I lucked out and got my younger cousin. He's in his early 20's and has been a die hard Pokemon fan his whole life. I lucked out because I am as well, but I like to collect more vintage and old school stuff. During Thanksgiving I introduced him to an entire world of cards he's never even seen or heard of before. The original Carddass series 1, 2, and the first Pokemon Topsun that all came out within a year of each other as the first original 3 sets of Pokemon cards.

I know his favorite Pokemon are Charmander, and Growlithe. So after a bit of thinking I came up with ideas for his gift. My friend out of state has an amazing 3D printer and as his gift to me printed a few different models and I got them yesterday to paint some additional touch ups.(He's an amazing friend of almost 25 years and printed a few extra awesome surprises for me as well πŸ”₯)

After horrible delays in the mail, I miraculously got both Carddass series 2 cards today and the 3 card display case off Amazon. All together probably came down to $50-60 but I'm super happy with the outcome and excited to gift it to him tonight. I made the base out of cardboard and wrapped it in thick tape so the figure was a little taller, and I used a simple card case so the base card can be interchangeable. I added an old lightly played base set Charmander πŸ™‚

Hope everyone else's Holiday's go well, and we all get some dope gifts, or even better, dope feeling of giving an equally awesome gift to someone you care about!

Merry holidays, and happy next years! 🀣
