I started painting directly onto Pokémon cards a while back as a way to experiment with colour, line work, and turning familiar characters into small narrative scenes.
Over time, the work grew into a connected body rather than one-offs, and I decided I wanted to take it in a slabbed direction — treating each piece as a finished artwork with a consistent presentation.
These are the first 10 completed pieces in that format. I’ve kept them numbered as part of the origin run, and I’m currently waiting on labels for the next 10.
Laying them all out together really changed how they read for me, so I thought I’d share the set and see how it comes across as a whole rather than individually.
