That last event with Kyurem really burnt a lot of people including myself. They basically made it so you had to buy remote raid passes in order to get White. Smart move if you're trying to squeeze your customers bad move if you want longevity from customers
The algorithm is even more punishing this season.
Stop spending money unless you are super excited for the event.I just didn't play the kyurem event. I don't spend money when the events are lacking. If you are bored with the game don't play don't spend money and then cry about it.
Game is boring and expensive
I lost a lot of motivation the last month too. Even missed out on a few field research stamps for the first time since 2023.
I was crossing my fingers that they would continue some Sunday trade bonus this season like the previous.
Also, the december community day only covering 1 years special moves instead of 2 years when evolving was probably the biggest disappointment of the year for me.
Honestly the meta sucks… you’re better off getting xxl of shinies you like and winning with a good comp ….
I don’t think people getting their money back when they throw out the shiny everybody has vs a shiny xxl of thier favorite 🙂
I think we’re in a chapter where people who played alone can’t really be bothered unless they really mess the game up .
It’s really just about having fun with the moms you like ….. for like 10-15 min a day

i think people are sick of pokemon go making raid events the booted shiny odds not working for majority of people making them waste raid passes and then they do "make up" events but it is a 50/50 chance if its worth it or not and its just exhausting

A new Pokémon appears about every month.
Right now it's Wattrel, before that it was Rolycoly, Grimmsnarl, Klawfk, Clobbopus, NaCLi, Poltchageist, and a few more in the last 3 months.
In addition, new Shinies have also been released, e.g. costumed Deddenne, Noibat, Teddiursa, or Pikipek, Dhelmise, Tadbulb, Morpeko, Hatenna, Impidimp, Sinistea, Duraludon.
So new content is still coming out regularly, even if things are a little slower in winter due to the holidays and there are no Dragon CDays. But it's not true that there would be nothing new at all.

As someone that started playing in 2023 (currently level 76) hearing people cry about the remote raid limit etc is so annoying.
@Poke AK I was expecting the same thing for PvP when it freezes and I was forced to quit and load the game then see I lost the battle. But yesterday it happened again so I managed to swap to my hotspot and it somehow fixed it. But I’ll say what you tell us “take it with a grain of salt” it worked for me twice hopefully it helps you and others.
There’s so many basic, simple things that they haven’t implemented and that any normal person with 2 brain cells would’ve implemented on their first day if they had a chance.
Well I quit bc yeah I spent but like for what it’s like a gameplay loop with minimal rewards for anything there’s better games with less greeedy companies
I'm noticing that the developers overlooking Pokemon Go isn't taking any of the feedback seriously, also the whole thong with the routes feature should have had some thought put into it since not everyone can go out and interact with others… I don't know if it's just me but I miss the free community day research that we used to get, plus ever since Jesse and James were added we haven't seen them and that's what made it fun for me…. if you agree with what I said then feel free to leave a positive reply and be positive no matter what happens moving forward.
battle league has slopped out hard. its designed to keep you around that 50% range. ive had teams that just cruuuushhhh then boom nope drop you down droop you down you feel like youll never get good sets again you hit around 50% i put together a random dumb shit team and Boom im getting win after win with a crappy team cus the game tries to keep you at 50%
Definitely no starter community day in next year 2027 community day even though Pokemon Go introduce generation 10 starters along with the launch of Pokemon Wind & Wave (this Pokemon game could possibility will bring generation 10)

It’s been cold and cold every single day now ever since yes of course unfortunately the day of fusion day then now pass days pass on im starting to see most of my friends and half close friends has stop playing poke go and im like wow im the only one who is half active just been playing raids closer to my home and playing half less outside for this cold weather an yes what a bum this is getting to be and the weather here is supposed to get more colder again man this weather doesn’t know when to give up yet 😮😢😮

The 2020 lucky Pokemon bug is still in the game, they haven’t fix it properly. A friend traded me a 2019 shiny Meltan for a shiny Furfrou and it didn’t trigger a lucky. Keep in mind this was our very first attempt for the new year to force a lucky when they increased the number of guaranteed from 35 to 45. I messaged Niantic help with photo evidence about the issue and they basically said one of us must of hit our 45 limit cap and it should have went lucky. No effort to give us lucky status or try and look into the obvious glitch further, it was honestly a waste of time to report it, they don’t care.
PvP is mainly why I play and it’s so laggy I can’t even play.
I agree about the lag and I don't do PvP. I see the spinning icon a lot more than I have for a long time.

It’s not so bad, people just rely on hype and grinding hard/fast to get what they want, there playing for big gains every time they log on and not the slow grind.
For the most part I just shiny hunt and earn resources. It’s free and the many events switch up the spawns pretty often and keeps the hunt changing.
Already out of ideas with the game from the game.

i just errased the app…. lol I pretty much just play PVP but yeah, its really bad…
I don't mind the Holiday and new years events being retreads. I can dip in and out whenever works for me and I don't fee like I miss anything if I don't grind hard. I honestly like the game for what it is but as a long time player I'm really just grinding extra candy and dust. I enjoy PVP as that is different every time, except opposing teams are constantly the same. Once the meta gets figured out for the season you see the same constant teams. Once we get pokemon day in feb I think we will get announcements and hopefully it builds some excitement by announcing exciting stuff
For me :
1. Don't make the screen darker when in-game weather is raining, sometimes in real life weather is scorching 🔆 made us barely see anything on screen
2. No need to tap party power button when raids, it's not an option to use it or not😂 of course we always use party power, just automatically applied everytime when the charge skill is available
I came back to the game in September 2025. Definitely hit it HARD and blew a bunch of money. Had fun, but started to wear myself out. Then my account got hacked and someone stole a bunch of the Mighty Pokemon I got from Wild Area. Niantic has done nothing about it whatsoever.
I'm still playing because it helps get me to exercise more and I need to be doing that. But I have definitely cooled off on it a LOT. I was excited to get out for Shadow Raikou and Precious Pals this weekend but surprise surprise it's going to be like 17F here, with likely ice and snow. The city doesn't plow the roads, no one here knows how to drive in snow and ice, and quite frankly I don't have the clothing appropriate to be out in those temps. So… RIP this weekend of POGO.
I want every shiny maxed out to level 50. I dont mind the grind.

We need better spawns like damn why cant we get good spawns like lucario and even maybe legendary/ mythical spawns needing to do raids for really good shit while seeing shit spawns is a big game killer. Im only still playing bc i havent been spoof banned😂😂😂
