Actually, weather boosts only seem to boost the IV's of wild spawns. Raid IV's and research rewards still have a floor of 10/10/10 even if weather boosted. I'm pretty sure it only affects the level (and consequently the CP) of raid or research Pokémon.
For what ever reasen, i thought the iv Floor for weather boosted pokemon got removed.
Regarding the fast catching, you don't want to do that with everything. You used to Not wanting to do that with pokemons from the inscent, because the Pokemon might be cought, but the Pokemon is still in the map and you can continue throwing pokeballs at the Pokemon (you would Just throw them onto nothing). This is still a thing with the daily surprise Encounter, so don't Run away from that.
I think a more useful, lesser-known application of weather boosted IVs is that shadow pokemon ALSO receive the IV floor boost, so going after grunts that have weather boosted types is an efficient way to hunt good IV shadow pokemon and purifiable hundos.
But shiny pokemons in the wild are not shiny for everyone. Guess game decides when they shiny for you? That means every time a pokemon spawns somewhere in the world, game must decide is it shiny for me or not?
One thing to know when quick catching is the pokemon you catch will not automatically go into the pokedex you have to catch it normally i have ran into this glich a lot and it never seems to fix itself
