I had amazing hits from 1 or 2 UPC’s I’ve opened and a mix of trash and meh hits from every other one I’ve opened. I’ve been converted to the camp of leaving UPC’s sealed lately

Imagine if we had laws like in Japan where they had to guarantee an illustration rare or something at least. The promo cards don’t count. That’s bare minimum of what you’re paying for in the box, that and the playmat or whatever. Most people want these for the packs or the investment. Not to mention it should have been 18 PF instead of four packs of whatever they had lying around.

Upc, etb & ANYYYY ‘ex’ set – just terrible for me, i swore off buying them months ago.
Even with having insaneee luckkkk on pulls for chase card hits as psa10’s. Im 0% on all sorta ‘ex’ set or ETBs. But huge rate on boost bundles & collection chests idk why.

That Wailord is one of my favorite arts in recent sets. Sucks to open it as one of your only hits but an amazing pickup for $10.

I bought one pack when I was out with a friend and got this wailord and I had no idea it was a good card for months before I got more into Pokémon and I found it and put it in a sleeve 😂

I just bought that Wailord and the Articuno. Both are sick cards, but yeah brutal if those are all you got from a upc

The promos are a major reason to get one really. In theory if you’re selling the promos make some of your cash back if you get it at retail. But yea. My sis and I split a PF UPC the other day, couple minor hits but nothing great. She wanted the zard promo though!

I need to thank you guys. Because I have about $400 worth of sealed product and sometimes it’s tempting. Glad to know I’m doing the right thing to never open it.
First one (from Pokémon Center): Crustle IR (DRI), Arboliva ex double rare (DRI), Alcremie ex double rare (JTG), Ceruledge ex double rare (SSP), Mega Manectric ex double rare (MEG), and Mega Venusaur ex double rare (MEG)
Second one (from target): Team Rocket’s Nidoking ex double rare (DRI), Team Rocket’s Archer ultra rare (DRI), Blaziken ex double rare (JTG), Durant ex double rare (SSP), Mega Abomasnow ex ultra rare (MEG), Buddy-Buddy Poffin ultra rare (MEG), Spearow IR (MEG), and Piplup IR (PFL)
2nd one was obviously better but for the price paid I would’ve hoped for way more.

But opened a surging sparks etb, prismatic etb and spc and a white flare etb and got some ok hits
I have like 4 PF upcs and 9 etbs i have sealed and wanna open lol and a destined rivals etb a moltres rocket upc. Do i keep it all sealed and run a wall on what not or rip it or keep it sealed 🫣
