Not sure if this is allowed in this subreddit but I wanted to share, so hopefully it is! Needed something to keep me busy during the winter storm that passed through this past weekend, so I decided to make another batch of packs to donate!
I started this project when I realized I had accumulated a good amount of bulk. Now that I’ve used up all of my personal collection, I do this based off of donations and/or cheap lots I can find for sale! Everything is organized, cut, assembled, and sealed by hand by me.
Packs are set up to be as realistic as possible, minus code cards. The only thing that can ruin the “immersion” is I do mix cards from different sets. But, in my experience, the kids don’t care; and that’s who these are for. I even include smaller “hit” cards like EX, V, Full Art Trainers etc. when I can get my hands on them.
I’m particularly excited about this batch because I had a donation of the fake metal cards. I didn’t want to include these in packs but also didn’t want to waste them, and I think they turned out pretty cool as pack decorations. (:
Past donation lots have gone to teachers for classroom prizes, but I have close ties with my LCS so I’m going to see if they want a stack to pass out to the littles that come through the store. I know the guys there personally so I trust they wouldn’t open them. I also plan on putting some in the free little pantry in my city that has a spot for kids games/activities.
