Regional Gothitelle inspired by the White Lady, an infamous Filipino urban legend

When driving near Trevenant Drive, don’t look at your rearview mirror unless you’re expecting someone…

This regional Gothitelle line was inspired by the kaperosa/White Lady, a spirit that haunts Balete Drive (along with other “white lady” spirits around the world). The woman was said to die in a car accident, and is still hitchhiking to this day.

Balete Drive (the street) shares its name with the balete tree/strangler fig, known for being home to fairies, spirits, and other creatures in Philippine mythology.

Most ghost stories and locations in the Philippines originate from colonial eras. This Gothitelle line is wearing clothes befitting a Filipino woman living under Spanish rule.
