The Paradox Pokémon were a group of Pokémon introduced in Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet. They are Pokémon from alternate timelines that are summoned by using the Time Machine in Area Zero.
They are separated into two distinctions: Past Paradox Pokémon and Future Paradox Pokémon – being version exclusives. The Past Paradox Pokémon are all more primal than their normal counterparts. Each Paradox Pokémon also has a name that doesn't fit in with other Pokémon (except Koraidon and Miraidon) to distinguish them.
