I was thinking on Mega Audino and how they clearly designed it as a support pokémon for doubles and got me thinking, if Mega Audino had Friend Guard as their ability, would you think it would have see play in the XY and SM era of VGC? It would still compete with heavy hitters as Mega Salamence and Mega Kanghaskan, but considering that only unevolved pokémon had this ability at this time, do you think it would see some use or it would still be outclassed by Clefairy with eviolite? It has a niche utility that I'm not seeing, that would still be worth use your mega to support the rest of your team, without much offense power itself? It's definitely better than healer, but I don't know if that's enough to make it viable.
