Sealed 2003 Eon Ticket… What do I do?

I still have my [event] Eon Ticket from 2003, sealed, for use with an e-reader in order to obtain Latios in Sapphire or Latias in Ruby.

I'm torn between having a rare, sealed physical collector's item, and having an extremely rare Pokémon LOL

I guess what I'm asking is,

🎵Would it be more favorable if I ingressed upon this collectible item in its state of factory-issued security, or would general opinion favor that I not compromise the packaging in such a way that the contents can become known?🎵

(If you heard that jingle, somehow, as you were reading it?, then your opinion is the most based.)

EDIT: NVM, apparently there's multiple versions of the Eon Ticket, and mine is the 2003 event version, which is worth over $1k sealed. Mine's in rough shape bc it's, again, FROM THE PHYSICAL ACTUAL IRL EVENT, but if it's opened?, then my casket is CLOSED, dawg.
