These fakemon are designed for my region, Tennerra, which is based on my home region of Appalachia.
The entire line is based off of two things: The "smoke" (water vapor) that gives the Great Smoky Mountains its name, and the Cherokee story of Utani and Etani, which, simplified, revolves an older brother trying to see the reflection of the sun on his obsidian knife, only for his sister to get in the way of the light. When he tells her to move, she asks why, and he says that the sun is leading him to the mystical lake Atagahi. The end of the story says that you may still find the two kicking pebbles near the lake.
Tennerrian Snorunt is also loosely inspired by the Cherokee concept of the Yunwi Tsunsdi, or Little People, who are somewhat(?) equivalent to the Celtic concept of the fairy folk. The triangles/patterns on its coat are reminiscent of a type of Cherokee weaving pattern called "flowing river".
Tennerrian Glalie's horns are darker and sharper to resemble obsidian, and the waving mist on it's back resembles fire to call back to the sun. Tennerrian Glalie are much smaller than regular Glalie – it's body is a pebble!
Tennerrian Froslass is a lot less complex, but the two ice horns-turned-rocks on its head also reference the pebbles from some versions of the story.

Poor glalie, not even a regional could make it useful
Love these designs, especially how they tie the evolution line together better than the original trio.
Awesome. Looking at these made me think that it would be cool if there was a ghost type that was an empty hermit crab shell that was haunted by the ghost of the crab that used to live in it.
Nice! 💧 🪨/🧚
