The region has two "route 1 bugs" who have a rivalry against each other due to they're constant fight for territory.
The first one is Ecranal ,which is the French translation of "screen wings" just spelt wrong, a big/poison type. The second one is Aqualle, a mix of aqua and the French word for needle (Aiguille), a Bug/water type.

"Ecranal are one of two bug type pokemon seen practically everywhere in the Marnane region. Despite having a head, their "face" isn't where most would think. It's wings are covered in pheromones which Ecranal can manipulate at will to express itself to others of it's species, or to potential enemies. They can expel these pheromones to briefly project whatever image they currently have in their wings. These projections can even be touched physically, which Ecranal use to perform actions they normally could not do with their body, such as biting or cutting. The constant projection and overproduction of pheromones covers any place they consider their territory in clouds of the stuff within minutes, causing a rivalry between it and Marnane's other, more sanitary, territorial bug type."
"Aqualle are one of two bug type pokemon seen practically everywhere in the Marnane region. These agile flyers are known to barely land on solid ground, not because they are unable too, but because they refuse to land on anything they consider "filthy". These neat freaks go above and beyond when it comes to sanitation, storing water in their abdomen which they later shoot through their proboscis as incredibly powerful and precise jets, cleansing any surface they intend to land on until their isn't a spec of dirt left on it. The beams they shoot are usually only used to clean, but when it comes to combat they won't hesitate to put the pressure on with their washers. They're know to throw a fit if they somehow get dirty, when they finally calm down they ingolf their bodies in a bubble of their own making, cleansing themselves from the filth. They're tendency to sterilize anything and everything has led to many areas being left spotless when they choose to settle, causing a rivalry between it and Marnane's other, more filthy, territorial bug type"
