For inspiration, it was simple: Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on ps5 was releasing the next day, and it was absolutely freezing. ❄️
So here’s Glaglaraigné, an Ice/Bug-type Pokémon. 🤣
Glaglaraigné is a snow spider with a truly unique style. It lives in icy regions, where it weaves crystalline webs so thin they blend perfectly with falling snowflakes. Always ready to challenge its opponents to a snowball fight, it proudly wields its own frozen sphere as its weapon of choice.
This Pokémon is instantly recognizable thanks to its “mustache” of icy fangs, giving it a noble and slightly theatrical look. Its natural cape, reminiscent of a purple scarf and a frosted beanie, completes its elegant winter appearance. Glaglaraigné takes great care of its looks, for legend says that the more its fangs and cape shine, the more effective its web becomes.
Its abdomen bears a large drop of ice, a relic of a legend claiming that the first Glaglaraigné were born from the tears of an ancient Ice King. Despite its refined appearance, it is swift, cunning, and fearsome in the ambushes it sets deep within raging snowstorms.
Today’s challenge was to successfully capture the look and feel of snow and ice.
