Not the worst partner showcase ever but kinda meh. Saw lots of interesting games but nothing really mindblowing, and a lot of re-releases.
Sailen_Rox
That was certainly a choice to end the decent enough partner direct on Todd Howards ugly face.
BlazingInfernape2003
I fear this was the worst Nintendo direct in a long time (that I can remember)
Delano7
I think this was genuinely the emptiest Direct since the Farming Direct lol
Mostly games everyone already knew about, or low cost shovelwares. Sucks, man.
Old-System-6699
I liked the Arcade Archives updates. The Console Archives idea is…eh, but no VC now means it makes sense. I liked the Bomberman Collection announcement.
BigSeabo
This is a classic partner showcase. Absolutely nothing going on here that wasn’t already announced before or obviously happening.
Except the Bethesda thing, maybe I guess.
ValeriaTube
Well that sucked. Almost all old ports and already announced games.
foxtrot1027
YouTube live chat was pure brain rot. Can’t wait to play the Pragmata demo when I get home. Some other cool announcements as well
_TheRocket
i feel like most of those games had already been announced, what was the point of the direct?
RobbieJ4444
Not the best partner direct imo
There were some cool looking stuff like the Xanadu game and Orbtiers.
But there were a lot of port announcements, and the one last reveal was the announcements of more Bethesda ports.
Hopefully we’ll see more brand new third party games once Nintendo give us a mainline Direct.
Weary_Programmer35
Wow! Look, nothing!
yumnoodle
This didn’t need to be a Direct…
equinox32393
Nothing screams this could’ve been an email like ending the show with Bethesda.
Immediate_Stable
Orbitals is interesting! And I love how it looks like a 90s anime. I’m also pretty interested in Kyoto Xanadu.
Coolguy41874
Metaphor was the only thing I wanted, what a shame
Orbitals continues to look incredible! Outside of that, pretty bad direct.
Definitely_NotU
My expectations were low but damn that was disappointing
HououinCarcinoma
Underwhelming doesn’t even begin to describe what utter nothing this direct was, but I guess that should’ve been expected once it was revealed to be a partner direct. Switch 2 desperately needs more news on first party games.
FarConsideration8423
Anime direct plus Bethesda
stanleytuccimane
There are multiple things I want to play here, but I was aware of them all already.
I saw lots of people hyping up a Partner Direct leading up to this. There are never going to be big announcements in a Partner Direct, they’re designed to give their partners an elevated platform to promote their games. We see some nice things, but any juicy reveals are going to be reserved for a full blown Nintendo Direct.
Numerous_Gain_5975
It was a very lackluster Nintendo Direct in my opinion, but I really liked the announcement of the Digimon Time Stranger game.
razorbeamz
People are mad about this one as if Partner Showcases have ever been good before
dvast
Bomberman Collection saved it for me
Herbizarre17
Same complaints after every single direct. People just can’t be happy no matter what the direct has in it anymore.
Jibbah_Jabbahwock
Last several Directs (including Partner Showcases) I’ve been in disagreement with others who thought it was nothing, as it had plenty I was excited for, but this is the first one in a while I can safely say was a complete flop for me. Pretty much nothing I’m super interested in, no franchises I care about. The only games I could maybe see myself getting are Adventures of Elliott and Paranormasight, but even that’s a stretch. Was really hoping for Metaphor, more news on the new Layton, and possibly Ace Attorney 7, but none of those happened, and didn’t get any good surprise that was enough to sate the disappointment. Bethesda games are automatic “Will never waste any more money on this shit” for me ever since I made the mistake of getting Fallout 3 and finding it literally unplayable, so that as the finale left a huge bad taste in my mouth.
Vivid_Maximum_5016
Third Party Exclusives is pretty cool and looks interesting
DrSussBurner
I was reasonably excited, but there was nothing for me here. What I wanted was metaphor and expedition 33… it’s a shame
Aurnolis
kinda expected an official announcement for Rayman 30th anniversary thing, but I guess not
cedelweiss
*munches on the infinite bacon*
Empress_Haru
Surprised Fromsoft didn’t show up in any way. I thought it was a safe bet to expect an update on Elden Ring at least, maybe even Duskbloods.
nothatssaintives
Nice to see Great Circle releasing this side of June! Between that and First Light, my May is basically spoken for.
AnistarYT
Can any summarize? I tried watching a bit later but they privated the video before I could finish.
PlatanoMaduroAssoc
A lot of games I’m looking forward to. Tokyo Xanadu finally announced!! MH Stories 3 demo!! Great direct
ThePhoenixRemembers
I have to wait till July for the digimon time stranger port?! Uuugghhhhh. It’s already been so long since that game released. Guess I’ll just get it on PC after all.
There was nothing new in this direct, it was mildly disappointing.
AMaidzingIdeas
LET’S FUCKING GO CULDCEPT
THE BEST GAME NOBODY HAS EVER PLAYED
(Digimon is cool too but play it on a console where it looks nice and won’t chug)
glenjamin1616
I’m kinda baffled that the big final announcement at the end was just more ports of games that have already long been out. There were almost no actually new games, just ports and new info on games we already knew were coming.
randomsword
INCREDIBLY happy with the Paranormasight 2 announcement. I honestly didn’t think it would manage to get a sequel, that announcement alone made the Direct worth it in my eyes.

My comments on the Showcase:
* As others have said, the only new titles that stood out Kyoto Xanadu (very familiar with the Xanadu franchise) and Another Eden Begins (NOA dropped the ball in terms of presenting it in their Direct, as you get a better idea of its Chrono Trigger origins in the Japanese Direct, while the American version only included it as part of a montage). The rest of the announcements were games already announced, ports, and titles that really don’t interest me (although the Bomberman collection is tempting).
* The interest on the Console Archives collection of games will really depend on which companies Hamster will be releasing games for (and how far generation wise they will release games, as we know that it will at least cover PS1 games). However, there’s already some promise with titles from Konami and Tecmo.
* On the Japanese side of things: the title that I want to see come stateside is the Goemon collection.
VOIDYOUTH
Bad direct
MainHaze
I’m legitimately excited to get the Bomberman collection! Loved those games as a kid!
illogicaldreamr
I was hoping to see more about Duskbloods.
Flashy-Bug7356
The “3rd party games I expected but WAY earlier than I expected” showcase as a jrpg fan this was great to see.
xxmjaxv
This direct made me sleepy 🥱
zombiedoyle
It’s was so funny that us getting the final announcement and then Todd ‘Bethesda’ Howard showed up
Mindofthequill
Okay…so when’s the next first party Nintendo Direct? Lol
Nothing against partner showcases, they just really never seem to excite because they tend to show stuff we already knew about or at least figured was already in the works.
WolfofDunwall
Bethesda is out of their mind pricing Fallout 4 at full price. Square is nailing the pricing with the FF7 remake series.
HappyAd4998
The Switch 2 is shaping up to be a great port machine just like it’s brethren the switch 1. It’s a far cry from the Wii, Wii U, and Gamecube where you basically had to hope and pray that the game you wanted came to the system. I only wish the battery life was a little better, I’m going to wait for a refresh with a chip that isn’t as power hungry and an OLED screen.

That was pretty bad
2/10 direct not much to write home about
