A bit irrelevant that a console on sale during the holidays sold more than the new console, no? Especially when said new console outsold the PS5 in the entire year despite being out for only 7 months

Pretty normal for a console 5 years into its lifespan to sell more than a console that just launched. If you compare sales trends, every console’s first holiday is usually its worst.
FWIW, PS5 sales are also *down* 16% from last year.

This “analysis” carefully selects the only period where this is true, though, when Sw2 sales were finally slowing down after launch (October/November)… It outsold in December and during the whole year, despite only being available for 7 months.
