Dare I ask why one cardboard head mounting system will work while the other won’t?

While these aren’t games I really care to play, I think it’s gross that they won’t let you play then without buying something. Already pay for the expansion pass that should be enough, the extra shit should be optional as the controllers are optional

Just like how the gamecube nso controller only works for gamecube games

I’m just going to wait and see all the reviews and options on these and then buy whatever based on those reviews.

Someone was inviting you didn’t need any dongle at all. Copium

I dont see why it won’t work. The cardboard things look nearly identical.

it seems like another try at successful launch of vr by a major game company

What is stopping someone from just… playing the Virtual Boy without any headset? It will be a little blurry, but I would think there’s nothing stopping anyone from doing that?

Unless the official headsets have NFC chips in them (a la Amiibo) that communicate with the Switch to confirm you have the headset, thus blocking you out if you don’t have one?

Surely someone will have a 3d printable version.

I will be amazed if it turns out that the Labo VR headset won’t actually work. Apart from Nintendo having a history of saying things like this, like them saying the retro NSO controllers only work with their respective apps when they actually can be used in other things, I suspect they’re maybe saying this since the Labo VR won’t fit the Switch 2 whereas the new one will.
