Design notes: Mushismashi is based on Locusts and Swarming locusts, not a super original idea but it works very well as a convergent form of Wishiwashi.
Swarming*- When it has a lot of HP, the Pokemon forms a powerful swarm. It stops swarming when its HP is low.

Now this is a convergent I wouldn’t have considered until now, great way of taking the same base mechanic but on a whole different type

I do think this little guy would have a lot of potential thanks to Leech Life helping to counter its biggest weakness.
As for the Mon, I love the ideas Wishiwashi brought to the table, and there’s been plenty of cool ideas made to like Birds, Locusts like this one and Bats.

Holy shit dude I want this to be real so bad. I love grasshoppers with my entire soul and the idea of a convergent Wishiwashi as a singular grasshopper becoming a locust swarm when its ability activates is actually clever as hell, and the pink in the shiny reflects real-life pink grasshoppers which have a rare genetic mutation that affects their coloring, which is what shiny Pokémon would be considered to have if they were real.
This is amazing. I wish I could give you money for this. I’m saving these pictures and pretending they’re real from now on.

I love this but think the wings should be made wider, make them resemble not just a locust but a plane too like how wishiwashi resembles not just a whale but a submarine as well
Does it do real world style metmorph. When too many locust brush against each other it trigger a hormone release and causes them to enter the swarming phase and body structure. So would involve if 2 or more lil locust (maybe bug types) are in your part and it levels up
I like it, but the swarm form has some puny hind legs. The entire point of locusts is that they jump really good and they do that by having massive legs in proportion to their body. Removing that is like taking wheels off of a car.
They would definitely make this shiny
Your statblock math is incorrect, it should either be 630 or speed should be 30. bit sad that the stats are the exact same (almost) as wishiwashi but the different typing and moveset is very interesting
The name and the idea is SO GOOD if i could add anything it would be bioluminiscense something like like a firefly to the “swarm form” has little spots of light here and there to add more detail to the design.
Still this is sooo great.
This is so good, I’ve seen a lot of people make fakemon that have that swarm form that wishiwashi has, but this is by far the best.
