I tried to leave Lumiose City at the end of ZA and the game gaslit me

So I just discovered you can technically attempt to leave Lumiose City during the endgame crisis.

Naturally, I grabbed my bag and went straight to the train station.

The tower is literally about to explode. Everyone is panicking. They’re expecting me to go fix it.

And I thought:

“You know what? That sounds like a you problem.”

So I boarded the train.

You see your character walk up.
You hear the train doors close.
You hear the departure sounds.
Screen fades to black.

And then…

My character wakes up on a bench outside the station.

Text box:
“How strange! You must have nodded off here on the bench.”

Excuse me?

I physically watched my character board the train. I heard it leave. And now the game is telling me I just fell asleep?

No time change. No interruption. No security stopping me. No rival confrontation. No mysterious force dragging me back.

Just:
“Nope. Bench.”

No emergency lockdown.
No police blockade for public safety.
No “train is suspended due to tower instability.”
No rival blocking you.
No power outage explanation.

Just… you fell asleep.

I get that they don’t want you leaving during a major story event. That’s fine. Lock the station. Have someone block the exit. Have the station blocked due to the tower surge. Say the trains were grounded. Have security intercept you. Or even some mysterious force prevented departure; aka '(player) had a change of thought. Everyone depends on me.' moment on the train and run out last second all drama like before the doors close. Trigger an emergency cutscene. Make it feel intentional.

But pretending I dreamed the whole thing?

That’s wild.

At least let ninjas drag me back or something. Don’t gaslight me.

Has anyone else tried to dip out during the crisis just to see what would happen?
