My partner has an Eevee she wants to evolve to Sylveon. She has earned more than 70 hearts with it (she’s about 30 away from Ultra Buddy) and it is still saying “Finish a challenge with this buddy” when she tries to evolve it. The only reason the evolution silhouette is showing Sylveon is because she named it Kira and hasn’t used the free evolve yet. When she changes it to anything else, the evolution shows it will become Umbreon.
