im waiting for the super giga mega super mega raids in 5 years
Odaecom
So I can expect to not get link charges from the weeklies, just like I don’t get remote raids from them.
Seeteuf3l
So they’re really calling them Super Mega Raids?
YoungboySS
Break the shield ? Min of 8 people ? Lol
Rubberducker64836
Content gated by the requirement of many players is not okay š
Ok-Proof7287
Middle finger to rural players as always
“Super Mega Raids will require minimum 8 players in raid”
“Get them by doing CHECK-INS”
“Remote Super Mega Raid would require both” — People would avoid doing remote raids that way, so rurals are gonna suffer a lot by this.
NomzStorM
I really hate when you’re limited to the amount of resource you can hold (remote passes, max particles), so I hate this as well
trainsaw
Thereās too many flavors of raids and just complexity to what at its core is a kids game. Shadow, 1/3/5 *ās, mega, super mega. Then dragging 8 people into this type of raid. Shards, link charges, daily raid pass, premium raid pass, remote raid pass. Max battles, gigantimax battles, max power, caps, etc etc etc
Itās a pile to keep up with and learn about to just catch pokemon man lol
What I see: more raids I barely do competing for Gym spawns
You had the Wooloo problem in Max Battles, now get ready for Super Max without people bringing Megas. No shield contribution
lbpcod
With this much work to get the megas level increased even more, the multiplier for XL candy boost must be significantly higher or else im not sure im very interested
Rstuds7
so another resource youāll need to play the game. this is so lame and for so little return
PaintedCover
So how does the new raid format help me?
kirobaito88
They use the word “check-in” and then also used “community check-in.” Are these link charges for checking into campfire events or only community ambassador check-ins? Because it seems ridiculous to formulate a new currency out of those when the company refuses to provide more community ambassadors. (Spoken as a member of a campfire group actually went over 100 accounts for a Meowth battle on Sunday but doesn’t have a CA and so is deprived of those rewards.)

I’ve gotta be honest. This all seems like a bunch of unnecessary busy-work just to maintain engagement. The busy-work factor has been creeping in more and more as time goes on.
I don’t play games to feel like I’m at work.
KingMattato
So⦠Iāll be honest I donāt understand, what is the point of this? Do you get an item/energy from these raids to boost your already megaād pokemon? Or is the pokemon caught in the raid the reward? Because some of my megas are either 98% or perfect and I truly donāt feel like grinding countless āSuper Megaā raids trying to get one worth replacing them. If you earn stuff from said raid to boost a regular mega then i guess i can see it but. I just donāt really get the vision here?
AdventurousSleep5461
Cool. Something else I won’t be able to do in person as a solo player and I’ll have to spend money to do remotely. Think I’ll just skip these raids too.
Arko777
So I can’t duo it? Thanks for locking up a feature and Pokemon behind these idiotic restrictions.
neptune3343
This all confirms that when Mega Mewtwo comes, it will be a Super Mega Raid and a VERY EXPENSIVE one.
Arko777
So Mega Zygarde is going to be locked behind 20 trainers raid, isn’t it?
VulpineDrake
8 player minimum raids? lmao no thanks
Smok3ygaming1
Idk who thought that this was fun or a good idea. Having a minimum requirement of 8 players while you can only invite 5 at a time is on purpose. Also the rewards dont match thr challenge. What are the extra bonuses that make doing these worth it? Also love the slow rollout on level 4 megas for existing mons. Suprised they didnt remove the ablity to level 4 existing mons.
Lugiaso
The stupidest thing about all of this is the primal groudon/kyogre clause, like why? I know primals are not technically mega pokemon but by that logic they should not count towards the 1 active mega limit…
beerandloathingpdx
I donāt think they could have made this any more complex or micro-transactional
Minximum
āRequires 8 peopleā should have been the first sentence. I will literally never have access to this content.

Edit: lmao at out of everything people are hung up on me saying at its core, PokƩmon is a kids game. Kinda telling for the type of adults who have a hard time accepting that
That 5000 mega energy to level up looks insane. I wonder if itās gonna be the case where super mega raids give like 500 energy or something
If this is the kinda of stuff we can expect from the new owners, count me out. Its already gated enough.
This is becoming too tedious for a mobile game.
The bit I enjoy is this:
āYou can get them doing social activities like ⦠purchase from the storeā
Just lol.
I dont think i like this
I don’t remember the last time I played PokĆ©mon Go with 8 people.Ā
