This game looked so bad during the Nintendo Direct that I was embarrassed for Nintendo.
Themightygloom44
That’s sad, the idea was promising.
Objective_Ranger1005
Literally said it looked like bargain bin wii u shovel ware and look what we have. Not suprised at all how Janky it looked and not in a good way
CSBreak
The idea is cool but it looked very half baked from all the footage they showed
Fearless_Freya
Stealth games are not my cup of tea. But the year is young, I’m sure something will surpass it as worst
Nejnop
If I had a nickel every time a Dino Crisis-like game was rated the worst game of 2026, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but weird that it happened twice. And it’s only February.
narfjono
Getting absolutely nothing about Duskbloods for that garbage in a spot during the direct was so worth it.
Though this is the same company that allowed literally titled “Hentei” games on eShop. There seems to be a slouch in QA over there.
Thoraxe474
The only Tokyo game I want is Tokyo Jungle
Whimsical_Sandwich
Meanwhile Capcom just stealth drops actual Dino crisis ports, need that on Switch too
MurrayBabyYeah
The worst rated game of the year so far* haha
Ayamebestgrill
I thought there is something more since it’s in Nintendo Direct? but man it’s really bad. This game lucky Code Violet just got released recently on PS5, otherwise this game could take the spot as worst game 2026 so far.

Funny that everyone is making Dino Crisis spiritual successors, while Capcom can’t do a thing, because the franchise’s creator is “too afraid that it won’t be scary enough”.
kaminari1
This makes me want to get it now.
ImpossibleSherbet722
it’s nowhere near the worst game of the year.
SuddenlyThirsty
It looks so bad. The trailer looks bad. Nothing about it makes me want to play it. Also that song in the trailer sounds like 90’s anime dub trying to translate music the music.
LustfulMirage
Not surprised. Everything that was shown during the direct and the trailer was straight up horrendous looking.
koteshima2nd
I mean, just look at the damn trailer. It looked like one of those free asset games you would find by the dozen on Steam or itchio. I was surprised how it made its way onto a Nintendo Direct
KillTheZombie45
Not a good year for Dinosaur Survival Horror type games with female protagonists. Guess they’ll never remake Dino Crisis now.
miroll
Well i guess that’s sort of an accomplishment
GamePitt_Rob
The game looked okay, but the multiplayer aspect ruined it for me. I can’t imagine it’s easy trying to each control a different aspect of the gameplay.
That mechanic is what basically made it a switch exclusive, as you can’t do that on any other platforms unless they created a mobile app like some last gen games.
I’m guessing they’ll probably re-work the game so it doesn’t use that mechanic and launch it on all platforms next year, to try and recoup development costs
ArcanaRobin
Damn, I actually kinda liked what I saw in the Direct, was gonna buy it some time next month but nevermind now
majorchuzy
I don’t understand… the game has 12 critic scores on opencritic. If you do the math with all the scores on the website the game has an averae of 56,25/100, not 37/100. How does opencritic work ?
fleas_be_jumpin
Uh oh, I like a bad game.
Jgabes625
I specifically remember the quote “if you’re found, it’s game over. Fighting is not an option” and thinking fuck that sounds boring.
riap0526
It just looks plain bad.
Graphic looks like a PS3 game rather than a Switch 2 game, gameplay is all about escaping and the environment is all about dark underground tunnels that simply don’t look interesting. Pretty much zero story as well from the trailer.
Chippai_Fan
Watched the NoisyPixel review and it’s hilarious. Voice over with no lip sync, but the Voice over does not match the character animations and the subtitles aren’t accurate. They fucked it up so many directions simultaneously.
TheBrobe
It’s February.
BeefCheadle
Now drop the price to $5 so I can play it with my buddies for one night just for fun
nohumanape
Clearly this isn’t a good sign, but writing an article after only 12 reviews have come in is a bit premature.
ChronaMewX
Makes sense, the Tokyo Scramble was already invented by Persona 5, then by TWEWY before that. Come up with a new idea
Birdkiller_BE
People really did not play Code Violet to say Tokyo Scramble is the Worst rated game of the year.
CannonBeetle
I don’t understand how or why this go so much showtime and marketing from Nintendo. They had to have paid out the nose which sucks because just buying your shitty garbage into a direct is the opposite of what should happen.
This looked terrible on reveal and I’m unsurprised it’s garbage now
ThatCurryGuy
I kinda expected this tbh
Sentinel10
Bummer. I was hoping there would be something worthwhile since I think it’s the same people behind Ender Lilies and it’s sequel (or at least the same publisher).
Maybe 3D games just aren’t their forte.
longbrodmann
Still don’t know why this game can be included in the direct.
thegreatmango
Oh noooo!
I was really hoping this would be a hidden gem, lol.
Or, thrown in our face during a Nintendo Presents, gem.
