Despite their looks, Brontyke are most related to Pokémon such as Ponyta, Blitzle, and Mudbray rather than Rhyhorn. Brontyke are extremely strong for their size, able to lift heavy boulders out of their way to reach their favorite snacks; small bug Pokémon, and lichen.

Despite its ungainly stature, Brontremor are fast and muscular Pokémon, able to run at speeds of 55MPH when charging at predators such as Pyroar or Luxray. Their diet mainly consists of roots, tubers, and ferns with the occasional Wurmple or Grubbin for protein.
