The Miku crossover reveals which games Nintendo considers mainline game

Just a neat thing i noticed. I know people debated about whether Legends were a spin offs or not, but I haven’t seen anyone talk about Lets go

It was already “revealed” a couple of years ago, Nintendo accounts made a post about like “What game did you start your journey with?” with a picture of all mainline games, including LGPE and PLA.

Some people might not like it and even refuse that, but they’re mainline.

When let’s go was announced it was a BIG discussion but i think an interview cleared it up later

These + remakes are the games I’ve always considered the mainlines

Only pokemon fans can be directly told which games are mainline and still argue about it.

Let’s Go and Legends are officially mainline. What a stupid conversation.

Damn I can’t believe My Pokemon Ranch, Pokemon Ranger Shadows of Almia, and Pokemon Team Turbo aren’t mainline games

Man that artstyle works really well with Pokémon

  7. Stripeback

I wish Colosseum and XD were considered mainline too…

In my mind, the Legends games are a lot like the Metroid Prime games. They’re a distinct sub-series within the franchise, but they’re still a part of the mainline series of games

They very much explicitly state that the Legends games are mainline games on the Pokémon website lol

  10. So… The “normal” games + Let’s Go + Legends. I always saw it that way.

I just wonder if remakes are “mainline” now.

… idk what the big deal is so what if let’s go and legend are mainline or side games, either way they are still the same games and it also doesnt change the other mainline games. If gamefreak said frlg, hgss, oras and bdsp were all side games it wouldnt change anything about them would it?

Black Kyurem completely blocking Miku lol

I like how all of these look like they’re about to hit something like a train except for let’s go which are just having a good time chilling which is a pretty accurate representation tbf.

I find it so funny that miku is barely visible in bath black and white arts

  15. What Miku crossover is this? It doesn’t look like project voltage

  16. DrPikachu-PhD

Ok but legendaries like Zekrom just completely covering Miku is hilarious. Like it’s not a crossover at that point it’s just a drawing of the BW legendaries

  17. thisshitthatshit

The pics where you just can’t fucking see her, lmao

  18. EclipseHERO

They’ve established Let’s Go and the Legends games are part of the main series since each of them debuted. Why is this a debate? Word of God has LITERALLY told the community.

  19. zigaliciousone

I don’t really care what is mainline or not but some of those posters go fucking HARD

  20. LateCat_2703

I think the benchmark of whether or not something is mainline or not is : if it’s cannon with mainline, it’s mainline

Let’s go, legends, and remakes are canon with eachother, therefore they are mainline

we should start refer the main series game (RGBY, GSC, DPPt, BW+2, SM+U, SwSh, SV) as the core series games since it’s the starting point of each gen

Wow. I didn’t know that many people disagreed on what is mainline and what isn’t.

I’ve always considered the “main” games, the remakes, Let’s Go and the Legends games to be mainline. I’m pretty sure on the Japanese website, they have all the Pokémon related games listed and if you filter out all the spin-offs, you’re left with the “mainline” games. Which are all the ones that I listed above.

I don’t think this is the best proof of what is mainline and what isn’t though. People can argue about it all they want but it doesn’t change the fact that The Pokémon Company considers all these games as “mainline” games.

  22. Alex_Dayz

We’ve known this for a while. Anyone who still believes Let’s Go or the Legends games are spinoffs are just delusional at this point

  23. Will this stop people from insisting the Legends games aren’t mainline? No.

  24. Prestigious-Worth-49

So all the mainline games are mainline? Got it.

  25. sandmor03

Let’s Go, and the Legends games are definitely mainline games, they’re just a bit different.

  26. DogiiKurugaa

I can’t be the only one who saw these images and instead of thinking about the mainline argument I was thinking of how lazy it was to just give Miku the pokemon on the box and instead pick ones that fit her better from the selected gen.
