
Mega Dragonite, Mega Malamar, and Mega Victreebel made their debut in Pokémon GO during the 2026 Pokémon GO Kalos Tour in-person events. They were available in Seven Star Mega raid battles. All Trainers will be able to battle Mega Dragonite, Mega Malamar, and Mega Victreebel during the Global GO Tour: Kalos.
Seven Star Mega Raids
The seven-star mega raids called Super Mega Raids in Pokémon GO will be available during the following events. These are the first of many events that will feature these types of Mega Raids.
- February 20 – 22, 2026, in Tainan, Taiwan (also available remotely but no mega energy).
- February 20 – 22, 2026, in Los Angeles, California (also available remotely but no mega energy).
- February 28 – March 1, 2026, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time.

Mega Dragonite, Mega Malamar, and Mega Victreebel as Raid Attackers
From the table above, please note the following.
- Mega Dragonite: Use Mega Dragonite in Raid Battles that feature Dragon-, Fighting-, and Bug-type Pokémon. Or when you need to get extra Candy for Dragon- and Flying-type Pokémon.
- Mega Dragonite should have Dragon Tail as a Fast Attack and Draco Meteor as a Charged Attack if used as a Dragon-type Attacker.
- Mega Dragonite should have Dragon Tail as a Fast Attack and Hurricane as a Charged Attack if used as a Flying-type Attacker.
- Mega Malamar: Not in the top 10 as either a Dark-type or Psychic-type attacker. There are better options to use in Raid Battles.
- Mega Victreebel: Use Mega Victreebel in Raid Battles that feature Ground-, Water-, and Fairy-type Pokémon. Or when you need to get extra Candy for Grass- and Poison-type Pokémon.
- Mega Victreebel should have Acid as a Fast Attack and Sludge Bomb as a Charged Attack if used as a Poison-type Attacker.
- Mega Victreebel should have Magical Leaf as a Fast Attack and Leaf Blade as a Charged Attack if used as a Grass-type Attacker.

Recommended Tips
The following are the recommended Five-Star legendary raid tips.
- Know the Pokémon you want to battle.
- Avoid using Pokémon that are weak to these Mega Pokémon.
- Raid with enough Trainers. The minimum number of Trainers needed is 8.
- Use proper counters and their best movesets. Not just any high CP Pokémon, but the best counters with a high CP.
- If you can, take advantage of weather boosts. Do raids during the weather conditions that boost many of the recommended counters you have in your battle party.
- Use proper items when catching after winning a raid battle. Make sure you use Golden Razz Berry and aim for Excellent Throws when catching. If shiny, use (Silver) Pinap Berry instead to get more Candy.
