I started collecting again for the first time in a little over twenty years. I’ve played all the games over the years, but stopped collecting all TCGs in the mid 2000’s because I got bullied for playing Yu-Gi-Oh in 6th grade.
I’ve been going through it lately, as a lot of us are. Some severe anxiety and depression due to a lot of external factors beyond my control. Collecting cards and ripping packs has been very therapeutic for me, and is helping me reconnect with my younger self.
So I dedicate this National Dex binder to my younger self, because he would have thought this was the coolest damn thing he’s ever seen. My niece and nephew, who are 8, are also starting to collect and it’s been a joy seeing them just as excited as I was when I was a kid. Can’t wait to take them to a local show next month.
