Today I went to a super mega remote raid and saw there was a beedrill icon in the bottom right corner. I clicked it and it prompted me to.preceed. The professor then spoke about mega Evolution and I could finally catch the Beedrill.
I assume this is for people that accidentally clicked off of the research when it first appeared.
