Here's my interpretation of how Gen 10 could evolve. The wings of the grass starter remain so small that it has learned to fly by spinning its grass shoots quickly. The fire starter's saliva is glowing lava and it smears its fur with lava. The water starter's tail grows enormous, but it is still a very elegant dancer.
