A few notes:
- Didn't get into the whole "Reptile/Amphibian" divide. If it looks like a lizard. It's a lizard. Even Charmander's line flip-flops. Salamander/Chameleon/LIZARD.
- I actually forgot what Mudkip was, someone told me it was an axolotl, and I'm like "No it's a mudskipper right? it's right in the name." Regardless, Mudkip is one of the most "unique" animals to base a starter on that doesn't really have a simpler term.
- Chikorita is just a bean, but some have the opinion that it should be a "dinosaur" with Bulbasaur. I could go either way on that. Also…are dinosaurs lizards?
- All Tortoises ARE Turtles, but not all Turtles are Tortoises.
- Water Mammals got lumped together because "Seal" and "Otter" are just kinda all water-dogs in different forms. It would be odd to have a grass or fire type Seal or Otter. You could argue Oshawott into Rodent and Poplio into "Dog".
Should a rabbit be a rodent? Yes. Would you want it there? No.This is for children's level identification.Edit: You think I made this chart cuz I'm smart?! I dunno what a bunny is.
I think the thing that is throwing me off is we are at our 6th lizard starter, and they could have made it Grass type to complete the trio rotation, but they didn't.
I want the 6th Bird Starter to be Fire Type now.
