I can see it but I doubt they’ll go this route, dragon is technically just busted, they seem to like to stick to certain types when it comes to the starters and I doubt they’ll break away from that system anytime soon, so I can see Pombon becoming either a ground type or fairy type fire Pokémon.

I’ve already seen several fanarts suggesting it’ll be a Chinese Lion-Dog… BUT… I think if that had been the plan, they would have used a Shih Tzu (Chinese) instead of a Pomeranian (European), so I bet it’s not going in that direction.
