—————————————————————————————

Name: Poisidon (#032)
Classification:The Riverbank Rival Pokémon
Type:Water/Poison
Ability:Poison Point / Swift Swim
Height:2'00"
Weight:35.5 lbs

Pokédex Entry:
Poisidon is a natural rival to Damsel, often sabotaging the dams and lodges it works so hard to build. It glides through rivers, leaving faint purple trails of toxin in the water. Its playful, mischievous demeanor belies the potent venom in its spurs, which it uses to assert dominance over its territory.

Signature Move:
Burrow Blight
Poisidon rapidly burrows into a riverbank, collapsing the foundations of a dam or lodge. In battle, this may lower the opponent's Defense and has a chance to poison grounded targets.

Inspiration:
Poisidon is inspired by the biology of the platypus. Its Water/Poison typing highlights the real-life venom found in platypus spurs, while its role as a rival to the beaver-inspired Damsel(another Pokemon in my region's Dex) creates a classic "builder vs. wrecker" dynamic. Its shiny design is a Perry the Platypus reference.

Its shiny form reveals that this isn't just the best Platypus Pokémon. It’s the best Perry the Platypus Pokemon.

Lethocean is the undisputed ruler of polluted waterways. It is known to seize control of Damsel lodges, turning the wooden structures into decaying fortresses. Any who approach are met with the razor-sharp spurs on its hind legs, capable of delivering a neurotoxin that can paralyze a Wailmer.

Signature Move: Imperial Ruin
Lethocean slams its heavy tail into the water, releasing a shockwave of corrosive sludge. In battle, this move deals heavy Water-type damage, has a high chance to Poison the target.
