Damn! My wife wants this so bad but she didn’t want to spend $100 CAD on it unless it was excellent. I expected 7/10s across the board.

  2. LucentLilac

I haven’t been this hyped for a game since ACNH released :’) Thursday can’t get here fast enough!

  3. Soggy-Opposite

I was kind of hoping the reviews for this would be mediocre so I could talk myself out of spending $70.

  4. The_Senate15

What the fuck- it comes out on my birthday?

  5. spacewarp2

Just waiting till the user reviews open up and within an hour (not enough time to play the game) there’s a bunch of brand new accounts with no other games reviewed posting a negative review

  6. i’ve been playing a lot of Story of Seasons and Fantasy Life this year and this seems like it’ll take up my time just like those games

  7. Traditional-Fix539

i’m already playing 3 games (soon 4 with the new tomodachi life) that do what i think this game would do for me, so i’m gonna buy it for sure but not any time soon. i just have too many games similar to it that i’m still playing. once i get bored though…

  8. TelephoneNo3625

please bring this game to Wii U Nintendo come on it’s all I ask 🙏

  9. Caraprepuce

Ok wow, I was quite hyped but I didn’t expect that much !

  10. PurpleHawkeye619

I genuinely dislike these types of games, so definitely wont be buying.

That said Im also a huge fan of other people getting great games they like, so thrilled to see how well this is reviewed

Hope everyone who likes this kind of game finds the reviews accurate and enjoys.

  11. Sentinel10

The dreaded 90 ceiling strikes again. Feels pretty consistent on how reviewers treat a lot of Nintendo games.

  12. FlameHricane

I really underestimated this. Not in the biggest rush to play it, especially with Slay the Spire 2 on the same day, but will eventually if it goes on sale or something.

  13. Lupinthrope

Wasn’t everyone glazing Donkey Kong too?

Edit: guess I’m alone in thinking it was just smash stuff the game. Good music though.

I’m shocked at how many people are commenting ‘Dang, was expecting this to review poorly’

As if a Minecraft/Animal Crossing/Viva Piñata/Pokemon baby made by the Dragon Quest Builders team was going to flop 😂 no shot guys, this shit was always going to hit like crack in the 80’s. Just needed to know it had some depth behind it. Now that we know it does? Easy GOTY candidate and huge system seller for Nintendo

  15. Cat_Montgomery

Looks good, but again with the $70 price tag I’m going to have to say no

Edit: to clarify, I agree with Jason Schreier that only the absolute top studios like Rockstar or maybe Fromsoft could justifiably get away with that kind of pricing, given quality and quantity of content. But most shouldn’t just because it has become “the norm”

  16. Have_A_Jelly_Baby

If only this weren’t a Game Key Card release.

  17. PaddleBoatOnFire

Are there any reviews on the gameshare functionality? Can me and a friend play through the game using this feature, or is it a limited experience? What I’m hoping for is Stardew Valley style implementation

  18. SDEscoM33

can y’all get over this whole GKC nonsense? they have obviously committed to doing this whether you like it or not. what is the actual purpose of continuing to complain about something that you have zero control over and that nintendo is clearly not going to stop doing? accept what you cannot change and move on with your lives. like goddamn

and the $70. do i wish this number was lower? of course. but it’s the price of new games these days whether we like it or not. doesn’t matter if you think it’s worth. it is what it is 🤷🏼‍♂️ and nintendo is not the only company pricing new games at $70. if you don’t want to spend $70 then don’t. we don’t need to hear about it over and over and over again. be impeccable with your word people

  19. blueruckus

Can someone tldr this game? Is it animal crossing? Is there any actual pokemon gameplay to it?

Bummed that I couldn’t get Resident Evil Generation Pack since its been out of stock…saw these reviews and pre-ordered.

After Bananza, there hasn’t really been anything to play on Switch 2, was gonna get Kirby Air Riders but its got a pretty low metacritic, gonna wait for a sale on that one.

  21. Poon_King

Its the weirdest phenomenon when a game comes out, reviews well, looks great and half of reddit has to announce ‘they dont like it’ ‘wont buy it’ ‘im not interested’

Like, cool? Then why are you even here.
What value is posting how you wont get this game, just leave the thread for those interested.

I swear its like people are upset its doing well, let alone the children upset about game key cards who have definitely been buying digital games for years but for whatever reason decided nintendo gets to cop this absurd complaint. You are a miserable lot haha

  22. I had no idea this was a full price reveal. 100 Canadian just seems insane, even with good reviews.
