"My take on a Mothman-inspired Decidueye variant! [OC]"
The Lore-Heavy: "Umbral Decidueye: The Omen Pokémon. It watches from the shadows with its wing-eyes. [OC]"
The Technical: "Finally finished this textured Umbral Decidueye in Krita. Wanted to capture that dusty moth feel! [OC]"
🌑 Umbral Decidueye: The Omen Pokémon 🌑
I wanted to design a regional variant that leaned into the Mothman legend. This version of Decidueye is a Ghost/Dark type that haunts fog-filled forests.
Type: Ghost / Dark
Ability: Dust Veil – Contact with its textured wings has a 30% chance to lower the attacker's accuracy.
Signature Move: Calamity Gaze – The user reveals the eyes on its wings to confuse the target and lower their Special Defense.
Lore: Folklore states that seeing the red-orange glow of its brooch in the woods is a sign of impending misfortune. It doesn't use arrows; instead, it tracks prey through the spirit realm using its wing-eyes and strikes with its massive, pale talons.
