A good buff for Flygon in gen 8 onwards could have been NOT programming Garchomp alongside it.

I will never get some of these "buffs". Hydreigon doesn't make sense with rocks, it is an all-out attacker, there are better options for rocks (lots), or tspikes on Gengar. It is paper thin weak, there is no reason to put them instead of the coverage that badly needs
Flygon actually got Dragon Dance in gen 7, not gen 8. Again, not that it mattered but still.

Hydreigon should have had nasty plot since Gen V. It's the quintessential dark type and not having a single truly viable boosting move until Gen IX was a tragedy for it.
Torterra and Blastoise should have had shell smash since Gen V as well. Tera is what pushed Blastoise beyond the point of modest power and Mega Blastoise to Ubers.
I always wanted flygon to get a speed stat buff so it could use hone claws for dragon rush and stone edge.
Give flygon +35 in special attack and give him quiver dance game freak please

To me, it's a lot of fun playing the gen 4 roster but with all the changes up to gen 8 and getting to see some of these pokemon have thier opportunity to be in the spotlight 🙂
Flygon has 80 Sp Atk. Dragonite has 100
i wonder if you guys could do a series like "How good __ COULD have been" where you come up with a whole in depth and thought out alternate timeline of events where a pokemon got 1 or 2 small but impactful changes. Like electivire coming out with a good physical electric move and not losing any speed upon evolving.
I doubt it'd be enough given how bad power creep has gotten, maybe give Hydreigon more moves for coverage. Like it already gets Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Surf, and Hydro Pump. They may as well just give it Ice Beam, Blizzard, Thunderbolt, and Thunder too. And also give it moves like Aura Sphere and Power Gem. It also needs a Hidden Ability too. I feel that either Contrary or Sheer Force would be solid options for a possible Hidden Ability.
